Solution combustion
Solution combustion process is a very simple, fast and economical process for the synthesis of all kinds of ceramic oxides. The process involves the combustion of a redox mixture containing stoichiometric amounts of oxidizer and fuel in a preheated muffle furnace/hotplate/microwave oven. Solution combustion process has been used for the preparation of nanosize oxides and plasma sprayable oxide powders for a variety of applications like tapecasting, slurry spraying, electrodeposition, RAM coatings and plasma spraying.
