PSO based Optimization Package for Metamaterial Split Ring Resonator Configurations
PSO based Optimization Package for Metamaterial Split Ring Resonator Configurations is a software CAD package developed in-house for estimation of structural parameters of various configurations of metamaterial split ring resonators (SRR) at a desired resonant frequency. The CAD package designed here uses particle swarm optimization (PSO) technique in conjunction with the equivalent circuit analysis of SRR to derive the structural parameters such as length, width and gap between the rings at the desired frequency of operation. The particle swarm optimization is a global optimization technique having low computation time with high accuracy for design consideration w.r.t the other soft computing techniques such as genetic algorithm (GA) and bacteria foraging optimization (BFO). The PSO based Optimization Package for Metamaterial Split Ring Resonator Configurations is very much user friendly. As the split ring resonators (SRR) are the building blocks of metamaterial applications such as metamaterial based antennas, radar absorbing materials, THz absorbers for biomedical applications, frequency selective surfaces and invisibility cloak, the developed CAD package will be useful for efficient design and analysis of such applications.
