SURYA NARAYANAN L

Mr.Surya Narayanan obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum (2010) and Master’s degree in Advanced Materials Technology from Bangalore University, Bangalore (2012). Thereafter, he worked as Senior Research Fellow in Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Min. of Defence, Bangalore. Presently, Surya Narayanan is working as Scientist in Mechanical System Design Group of Structural Technologies Division at CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories from March 2016.

In ADA, his working areas was mainly on Emergency Crew Escape System (Ejection Seat) which involved, Design & optimization of combat aircraft canopy profiles, crack propagation pattern studies due to explosive detonations, explosive (Miniature Detonating cord) pasting techniques. His major research interest lies in the area of Aircraft Mechanical Systems which includes Combat Aircraft Pilot Emergency Escape System, Hydraulics System, Environmental Control System & Fuel system. He is currently working on Airborne Hydraulic Systems- Modelling and simulation, System identification studies of various Hydraulic servo valves, Fuel slosh behavior studies using 6 DoF motion platform & Environmental control system- Heat load Estimations.
