SHARAD KUMAR

Sharad Kumar went to Army Public School and completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology which is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. After working for a period of 2 years in a private firm (Cades Digitech Pvt. Ltd.) he got admission into the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi and completed his masters from the Department of Applied Mechanics from where he joined CSIR-NAL as Scientist. His major work has been in the area of Structural Optimization using commercially available packages, framework for the MDO using iSIGHT, 3D nonlinear Finite Element analysis and Impact and crash related simulations. Presently he is working with the Impact and Crash Simulation and Research Group which is a part of STTD where his current research interest includes simulation and analysis activities for impact and crash, design and optimization using Process Integration and Design Optimization (PIDO) tool for design and improvement of Impact and crash related structures.
