Dr. Selvakumar has 10 years research experience in the field of nanostructured solar selective coatings, nanolayered multilayer coatings, and superhydrophobic coatings. He is actively involved in the development of transition metal nitride-based solar selective coatings by magnetron sputtering for high temperature solar thermal applications.
His recent research work is focused on the synthesis of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), reduced graphene oxide (rGO), and graphene based absorbers for solar thermal applications. Currently, he is exploring the possibility of using rGO, CNT, and graphene based coatings for radar absorber applications.
