Dr P. Porkodi works are mainly involved in the research and development of different grades of carbon fiber. Her main interests are in polymer synthesis and characterisation, carbon fiber technology and solid ionic conducting material synthesis. She has more than 10 years of experience in the carbon fiber research. She has developed new methodologies for characterisation of polymers and fibers. Apart from the carbon fiber research she has research experience on the synthesis of solid ionic conducting materials which finds application in batteries, Pollution monitoring and mitigation system.
