Her research is focused on the development of wear resistant composite coatings on aluminium alloy engine cylinders for unmanned aerial vehicle and automobile applications. She has developed eco-friendly corrosion resistant cadmium replacement coating for small aircraft components in collaboration with other aerospace agencies. She has also developed high temperature nano-composite coating for industrial gas turbine applications through simple electrodeposition method.
She has developed solar selective coating using environment friendly ionic liquids and non-toxic electrolytes. Yet another area of her research is on the development of hard chrome replacement coating by High Velocity Oxy Fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying method. She is exploring new generation coating materials for high temperature applications like thermal barrier coating and power plant applications by thermal spraying method.
