Kundan Kumar Verma

Kundan Kumar Verma completed his Master of Science in Inorganic Chemistry in the year 1996 from BNMU Madhipura and has Post Graduate Diploma in Plastic Composite Technology from CIPET, Chennai in the year 1999.

He joined Advanced Composites Division (ACD), CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories in the year 1999 as Project Scientist (1999-2002) and worked on composites tool design, tool manufacturing and component manufacturing. He joined as Junior Technical Assistant in the division in the year 2002 and continued working on tool design and development, part manufacturing and composite testing in the division as Senior Technical Assistant (2002-2004), Junior Scientist (2004-2007) and as Scientist (2007). He is involved in developing low cost tooling and low cost composite manufacturing technology for aerospace composite parts.

His current research includes development of 3D composites using tufting technology, process development for ultra-high temperature composite manufacturing, establishing testing methodology for testing ultra-high temperature composite test samples. His research efforts has led to Two Patents in the field of low cost manufacturing and 3D composite technology. He has 6 Journal and several national/ international conference papers and technical documents. He is a life member of (Indian society for Advancement of materials and Processing Engineering) ISAMPE. He was a team member for various awards like ISAMPE group award for Smart Materials and Systems Technology Development in 2011, an International JEC Group Innovation Award in 2015 and 7th National Award for Technology Innovation in 2016.
