Ms. Jeevitha’s research is concerned with nanoscale architecture and tribology of coatings. She is experienced in magnetron sputtering and plasma activated chemical vapour deposition techniques. She has worked on hard coating materials like chromium nitride (single and multilayered), diamond like carbon, DLC and TiO2 based coatings (single phase/nanocomposites) for self-cleaning applications.

Currently, she is working on sputtered nanolayered multilayered erosion resistant coatings for gas turbine compressor blades and solid lubricant coatings for space applications.

Research Interest :

Magnetron sputtering, multilayer and nanocomposite coatings, mechanical and tribological behavior of coatings, functional oxides/nitride coatings.
