DR.RAJA SAMIKKANNU

Dr. Raja Samikkannu is holding MTech (IIT-Bombay) and PhD (IIT- Kharagpur) degrees in Aerospace Engineering. He was a DAAD research fellow at DLR-Institute of Structural Mechanics, Braunschweig, Germany and a JSPS post doctoral fellow at Nagoya University, Japan. He is a domain expert in Structural Dynamics and Aeroelasticity and has provided industrial and R&D solutions to National Aerospace Programmes (DRDO LCA -Transonic Flutter clearance; Buffet estimation on ISRO space vehicles GSLV-MKII, GSLV-M3, RLV-TD & Transonic Flutter Clerance of RLV-TD; T-Tail flutter estimation on NAL SARAS). His expertise in Aeroelasticity has been effectively utilized in certifying the new stores on IAF Aircraft from flutter point of view with RCMA/CEMILAC (upgradation programmes of Jaguar, Mirage 2000, Su30-MKI etc.). He and his team have professional talent and competence to conduct Ground Vibration Testing and Inflight instrumentation, measurements on Aircraft, following the international standards and also keen take up aeroelastic testing on scaled models in wind tunnel to qualify/estimate aeroelastic paramters such as buffet, flutter of full scale aerospace vehicles in all the aerodynamic regimes (Subsonic, Transonic, and Supersonic).
