Mr. Abhilash J K research interests are focused in the area of advanced materials specifically synthesis, characterization and development of polyacrylonitrile based carbon fibers / lignin carbon fibers and shape memory polymers and its nanocomposites. His key research emphasis over a period of 12 years is studying the development of structure – property relations in technical fiber on pilot scale fiber line using state of the art characterization techniques. More recently, his area of research has also entered into exploring and understanding the chemistry of novel shape memory polymer materials.
